Founded by Julien Deloffre and Pierre Escobar, L’atelier DEV is a collaborative architecture studio working across disciplines, scales, and geographies. Based between Brussels, Berlin and Paris, the studio engages with space as both a physical and political matter, exploring how design can respond to societal, cultural, and urban challenges. Julien Deloffre is an external lecturer at the Micro-Mega studio the ULB faculté d’architecture La Cambre Horta.
Bringing together complementary backgrounds in research, practice, and pedagogy, L’atelier DEV approaches architecture not only as a means of construction, but as a framework for critical reflection and dialogue. The studio integrates research-based methodologies and cross-cultural perspectives, drawing from academic work, cultural initiatives, and field-based investigations.
Their practice spans architectural design, Landscape design, urban studies, exhibition making, interior design, research and teaching. L’atelier DEV architecture is actively involved in academia: Pierre Escobar is a professor of Interior Architecture and Spatial Design at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences. Julien Deloffre is an external lecturer at the Micro-Mega studio the ULB faculté d’architecture La Cambre Horta.
